Mikel Arteta believes “everything clicked” at Arsenal following their winter training camp in Dubai.
Since the Gunners’ week-long trip to the United Arab Emirates in January they have gone on a run of seven straight Premier League victories, scoring 31 goals in the process.
The camp came after Arsenal had suffered successive league defeats to West Ham and Fulham before being knocked out of the FA Cup by title rivals Liverpool.

After peaking at a little over 459,000 concurrent players on Steam at launch, Grinding Gear Games’ Path of Exile 2 has reached a new record. Its new peak is 578,569 concurrent players at this time of writing. If that weren’t enough, the action RPG has become the 15th most-played title in Steam history, with its lifetime peak ahead of Valheim, Terraria, Fallout 4, and more.
It’s all the more impressive considering the server issues faced at launch. Though Grinding Gear Games prepared capacity for one million concurrent players, early access redemptions passed that mark while sales continued to grow. Game director Jonathan Rogers warned of queues, but most couldn’t even log into the title when it went live.
Spain coach Vicente del Bosque says it would be an injustice if Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta retires without winning the Ballon d Or.
Iniesta put in a man-of-the-match performance as Barca claimed back-to-back Copa del Rey crowns with a 2-0 win over Sevilla on Sunday.
The 32-year-old has now won 28 trophies with the Spanish giants since making his senior debut in 2002, adding to his two European Championships and a World Cup with Spain.
However, Iniesta has never won a Ballon d Or finishing runner-up to Barca team-mate Lionel Messi in 2010, and then claiming third place in 2012 as Messi won again.
And Del Bosque, who will be banking on Iniesta at the upcoming Euro 2016 in France, believes it is unfair if the midfield maestro never receives the …
LA Galaxy defender Robbie Rogers, notable as the first openly gay player in any of America s major professional men s sports leagues, has announced his retirement.
Rogers initially quit the sport in 2013, aged 25, after leaving Leeds United, and then came out before returning to the sport with the Galaxy in MLS.
The former United States international won the MLS Cup with hometown club LA in 2014 adding to an earlier title with Columbus Crew before calling time on his career for a second time on Tuesday.
It is with mixed emotions that I announce my retirement from the game of soccer, Rogers said in a statement.
Having the opportunity to win an MLS Cup in my hometown, with my hometown club as an openly gay man will be something I will carry with me for th…
Didier Deschamps said Karim Benzema is free to open up about the talks that led to his surprise France recall in the future, but the head coach said details of such discussions will not come from him.
Benzema was last week named in France s squad for the delayed European Championship following an absence of nearly six years.
He had been frozen out by Deschamps since 2015 having been embroiled in a blackmail scandal involving international team-mate Mathieu Valbuena over a sex tape.
The 33-year-old has denied the claims and is due to stand trial on the charge of complicity in attempted blackmail in October.
His recall followed another hugely impressive season for Madrid in which he scored 30 goals in all competitions, with 23 of those in LaLiga, trailing o…

Looking to make an immediate return to winning ways on Wednesday evening, Real Madrid will welcome Las Palmas to the Spanish capital.
Real Madrid
Starting with the hosts, putting in a nightmare performance over the weekend as they suffered a 3-1 drumming at the hands of bitter local rivals Atletico Madrid, Los Blancos are certainly seeking an immediate response here. Suffering their first defeat since opening up the 2023/24 campaign, Carlo Ancelotti’s men should be smelling a golden chance when they return to the Bernabeu here. Getting their Champions League adventure underway with a last-gasp 1-0 victory at home against German outfit Union Berlin last week, the former AC Milan boss has still seen his superstar squad win seven of the…
Tonight’s edition of Monday Night Football brings us the marquee game of the week when Philadelphia travels to Kansas City to take on Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.
This is a Super Bowl 57 rematch and the Eagles will be looking to exact some revenge on the Chiefs for last year’s loss in the big game game.
Both teams can score points at will and the NFL odds have done very little to separate the two sides with the Chiefs sitting as -2.5 home favorites.
While there are a number of different subscription-based TV channels and streaming services available to watch this game… did you know that you can also live stream Eagles/Chiefs directly from legal sports betting sites?
Caesars, BetRivers, and Fanatics Sportsbook are three of o…
ESPN Deportes' Jorge Ramos caused a bit of a stir last week by reporting that FIFA put U.S. Soccer on standby for the 2022 World Cup, should Qatar be stripped of its hosting privileges. While this report has been disputed and denied up and down, America's vast sports infrastructure would make it a sensible backup since it's perfectly capable of hosting a massive event like the World Cup on shorter-than-usual notice. So, let's say FIFA grows a pair and takes the tournament away from Qatar like a parent snatching a toy from a misbehaving child. And then let's say the U.S. gets the nod. Where would they play? There have been a lot of changes to the venues used in 1994, the last time America hosted a World Cup. The Silverdome is in ruins, RFK Stadium is fairly decre…
According to reports, Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher has decided that he wants to quit and is planning to push for a move away this summer.
The Republic of Ireland international progressed through the ranks at Anfield. Most of his time in the senior ranks has been spent as backup to Alisson Becker.
Kelleher on the move?
The 25-year-old has only made 47 appearances for at senior level but he has established himself as one of the best second-choice goalkeepers in the Premier League, .
Alisson has been impacted by injuries this season so Kelleher has made 26 appearances across all competitions and he has barely put a foot wrong when he s been called upon.
Kelleher is certainly good enough to be a first-choice goalkeeper at another Premier League cl…
